A Game Golf Instruction “How-to Hit the Draw & Fade” 1 of 2
visit www.AGameGolfInstruction.com for hundreds of golf instruction videos. Golf Instruction Video #1 of 3 You see golf pros often play fade and draw golf shots during tournaments to achieve a more desirable result with the golf ball. How do they do that? There are different philosophies of instruction and you’ll have to decide which one you like. I personally like the way Jack Nicklaus Teaches it. If you have a good golf swing and can hit the golf ball straight already, the easiest way to hit a fade or a draw is by simply opening the golf club face or closing the golf club face. This golf instruction video shows how to pick a target line, setup for a golf shot and then execute it correctly. Consideration: 1: The more a club face is lofted, the less sidespin is applied. Very little sidespin is applied when opening the clubface of an 8 iron or higher for example. The ball just goes higher. 2: The less a clubface is lofted, the more sidespin is applied. Your driver has the leasts loft and the most ability to spin the ball sideways. When hitting a fade which requires opening the clubface, a 3 iron will apply more sidespin than an open clubface 7 iron.

This video is only relevant if you are swinging it neutral in the first place- this simplifies it too much…..but maybe a better way than lagging your hands or lagging your body!! wat the hell does that mean? Some pros make it too easy but not efeective and some complicate the hell out of it. You need to understand your own swing and then to learn to draw or fade the ball consistenly requires some hard work and dedication, like most things in golf
this really helps a lot!!!! thank you!!!
All i have to say is wow! This is amazing, out of all the videos i seen this guy is definitly the best, im subscribing
ive tried this was 10000 times and the ball still goes straight…i dont know what im doing wrong, any ideas
wow, if you can really do that you’re a genius, but from experience if you approach the fade shot or draw with the wrong technique. you might get the wrong fundamentals and your swing might get worse and you’ll have a slice that you cant fix, so be careful and approach it correctly
If you can hit it straight every time then don’t change your swing O.O
..and this video teaches you how to slice/hook not fade/draw.
ya the video is called how to hit draw / fade, not how to hit the ball straight. read first
i’m still pretty much a beginner and am still working on trying to hit it straight, but isn’t this more like hitting a hook/slice rather than draw/fade? i have yet to try it, but i was just curious
Thats a brillant teaching aid he is using. Really helps to visualize the process.
By opening the club face you also increase the loft. Oposite for closing the club face you decrease loft. You would have the make sure you pick 1 or 2 club sizes above or below depending.
A fade / draw is basically an intentional hook or slice…
I tried this several times, and I must be doing something wrong. When I tried to draw, all I got were low worm burners that went around 50 yards. the fade was even worse. the open clubface sent the ball almost horizontally to my left. (i golf leftie) I’d like to see this broken down on the actual course so that I can see what I’m doing or not doing.
When you give this instruction you should also include. when playing a fade open your stance, play the ball further forward in your stance and take 1 or two clubs extra…and focus on swinging more outside / in To hit a draw or hook take 1 or two less clubs because the ball will run out more, play the ball back further in your stance, close your stance and focus on swinging more inside / out.
im not trying to sound like an ass but what do you think this guy is talking about.
hes telling you to take you normal swing but just open or close the club face and to open or close your stance to the target
what you’re describing is a different method altogether. there are 2 basic methods; one which I describe and the other which you are referring to. Watch Jack Nicklaus “Golf My Way” and you’ll see where I got my information.
that would work, except you cant turn the club facing the target, cause when I try that the ball fades WAY TOO MUCH, hitting the object Im trying to go around, and thats aiming way to left of object in the way…. how far to left to aim for a fade shot , getting around a target, and the degree one opens the club face, is like geometry and I dont know that either….lol, BUT with the 3 wood Im doing better, just hitting a draw, closed face is harder….
LooooL in the bathroom…
no swing exactly the same dont swing more in to out or out to in thats bullshit
can anybody tell me howmany ball flight in a golf swing?
the hardest shot in golf is the straight shot.
why dont all the head pro teach all there student why the ball curve difrently when the club impact the ball, before they start to teach them the swing
@DigitalShaolin how do you release the golf club
@djtblizzle to do this the right way you have to swing the club in a straight path back to the ball. bad news that the swing path 99percent golfer dont have or cant not do
@AGameGolf i want to know what kind of swing path the golden bear have ?
