The efficiency of the dramatic sweep in the club’s triangular shape is characterized by Ortiz’ trademarked “Triangle of Stability™” (TOS). The club’s TOS limits the use of inefficient mass often found in square-head designs – increasing shot-performance within the critical two-and-a-half-inch diameter zone located horizontally along the clubface. Ortiz explains why the triangular design exceeds square-head options in playability and performance. “I prefer to design a club for maximum forgiveness on 95% of shots – not for the 5% of extremely poor ones – ” he said. Milled with elite Russian Beta Titanium (BT-23) – the face of Ortiz’ new driver provides a distinctive sound and feel. The elimination of scorelines and the inclusion of Ortiz’ signature nine-inch-by-nine-inch “roll and bulge” create a more rigid face – further reducing shot deflection. The club features weight-reducing graphite composite crowns and toe pieces.
