JB = poor swing mechanic.
you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about, no offense. Boo weekley is one of the best ball strikers in the world. Sergio might be the only person that hits it better than boo from tee to green. JB i could understand you saying plays the bomb and gouge style but to suggest that boo does that as well is an insult to an incredible player.

Weekley isn’t even close to bomb-and-gouge, for sure. I get tired of the whole “I’m such a rube” thing, but that guy’s got an educated swing.
Y’know, even a kid–or especially a kid–knows there’s a back and a through in a golf swing. It’s just that a few guys never forgot it. Now if Freddie could only putt like a kid too…just forget all the fear, don’t even let the misses register in your head, just hit it and don’t worry about it…
The best most effortless swing you will ever see, Freddie’s swing is just awesome. Saw him ‘rip’ a 7i 186yds and he looked like he’d just pitched it 50yds simply amazing timing and tempo.

As a kid I had real potential for this game and an old tour pro was kind enough to take me under his wing. I spent hour upon hour with him on the range and all he ever said was “dont think, just swing, its that bloody simple”.

At the ’95 PGA, I watched him pound drivers into the net at Riviera’s abbreviated driving range…I think it’s at around 240 – 260? Whatever it is, when his drives hit the net the balls were STILL ascending!!
i watched him on the range at st gorge 03 he hit the 100 sighn like every time
makes all the golf “gurus” look pretty lame.this swing can’t be taught and wouldn’t be by todays experts.
