How to get more power in your drives

Kris Moe, a PGA pro based in Northern California, demonstrates an exercise that may help you strike the golf with an ease you’ve never enjoyed before. Kris hasn’t invented a new swing, in fact, Bill Melhorne, one of the top golfers of his era (1920 and 30′s) and as Ben Hogan once said “the best ball striker” he’d ever seen was a proponent of bending the left elbow in the backswing. He like Kris believes that adding another lever in the swing creates more power and better timing. Bending the left elbow creates a third lever. Go ahead and watch the video and then try it for yourself. All the best!

Great lesson !!! I tried this method with my driver today and not only picked up 10 yards, but was down the middle constantly. Not bad for the first time out with no practice. Can’t wait to see how it improves over the next 30 days !

Tried it at the driving range and found it natural & so easy to replicate. Length wasn’t remarkable but accuracy was. Tended to hit the ball with higher trajectory. Can’t wait to see how it works out on the course.
