I am getting soooo sick ‘n tired of all these over-detailed analyses of golf swings.
Here’s my advise:
-Find your own funny way to whack a ball 300 yards straight.
-Practise for consistency of that whack.
-Practise short game and putting.
-Finish every hole 1 under par
-Win every tournament
-Smile!
Like Ernest Jones said–set up approximately right, find a true swinging motion and it’ll tell you what the rest of your body parts are supposed to be doing, and go score. If it were as hard as all this Swing Vision stuff and all the rest of it, not one of these guys would ever break 70. That’s the God’s honest truth. They’re not rocket scientists. Find a way to release the clubhead through the ball and sling it.
Kostis draws the “spine angle” thing from in _front_ of his hip joint, up through a point about even with his left cheek. Then, when he wants to make his point about the spine angle changing, he changes the top of the line to behind the left shoulder and the neck. Truth is, the angle from hip joint to face is about the same; Mickelson has dropped his head a little bit and rounded the back. I suppose that doesn’t fit a perfect model, but he kills it.
Incidentally, Kostis’ book “The Inside Path to Better Golf” was not only one of the most underrated books in the history of golf instruction, it was also one of the flat-out best. I don’t know what happened to him. He echoes whatever teacher is hot at the moment, when I think at one time he was better than most or all of them.
he cant swing correctly because he uses clubs that arent ethically legal. Swinging that wedge messes him all up, plus he probably feels really bad all the time from “cheating”, I think he needs to go to “illegal club rehab”, that’ll cure him, the cheater……lol

It is amazing what slo-mo shows you. I just had someone take a picture of my swing and I saw my error. Made the change and now I am driving better!

agreed…how come every swing has a ‘key fundamental to the success of that swing’? What a pile of shit.
Golf is about consistency, ball striking, but most importantly, averaging 26 putts per round.
you know nothing

“how come every swing has a ‘key fundamental to the success of that swing’?”
…and every one of them different. And analyzed after the fact, not predictively. It really is just reams and reams of bullshit.
You said it.

Oh, and…well-paid bullshit. There’s a whole industry based on it, which inevitably explains its existence.
Not only overanalytical, but wrong.
