my favourite swing on the PGA tour
don’t think it’s the prettiest swing on the tour but hey he won the Masters! and that’s all that counts.

its only cuz he has a crazy strong grip… like i have a strong grip but his is crazy! regardless i think this is one of the best swings on tour. hes not long but he is very controlled which i think is what most people should be looking for. as opposed to crushing the ball 300 yards and what not.
Very easy to repeat. Everyone says they know someone to act cool on this-I worked for a former tour pro that grew up with Zac, they are still close friends. Zac is a story of just someone who would not give up. Hes a good putter and probably will get another major or two. Read through his story if you ever want to get better, kind of an insperation.

Id take his swing if it ment a green jacket, he has what works for him and when i watched him hitting drivers on the range at carnoustie last year he was by far the best ball striker, oh and maybe sergio 2!

he doesn’t release his wrists like most players, thats why he doesn’t hit as long as them. not really text book but it works for him and hes one a green jacket

the swing is perfectly on plane and the only thing that looks wierd is the fact that he holds off his wrists after impact rather than flipping like most do.
he have a lot of things that historys best ball strikers had like moe norman and ben hogan, slightly close stance not much wrist action after impact and a nice and high followthrough

Zach is the best. My personal favorite player.
Zach can’t release his hands because his club face is closed at the top. If he released the club, he’d hit a hook/pull very easily.
Moe Norman and Hogan had a flat swing, but their clubs were square in the backswing (Hogan sometimes a bit open). Zach is able to control the club, Moe and Hogan didn’t. THEY DIDN’T FIGHT THE GOLF CLUB. Don’t make comparisions with them.
For a long time instructors taught students to have the feeling you were “sitting” on a bar stool. I always believed we should have been teaching people to feel as though you were “leaning” back on a stool. The last thing you would ever want to do is sit in golf. Sitting will cause the golf club to swing too level to the ground in the downswing, and you will have a tendency to hit the ground behind the golf ball. w w w (dot) golferbreak80 (dot) c0m
